5. Records available automatically

Company profile on bwmovers.co.za, published Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, standard terms and conditions, and public marketing materials.

6. Records available via PAIA request

Any record not automatically available may be requested via a formal PAIA request submitted on Form C to the Information Officer. Form C is available from inforegulator.org.za.

7. Prescribed fees

Per Regulation R187: request fee (non-personal requester): R50.00. Access fees per page: R1.10. Personal requesters (requesting own PI): no request fee. Fees may be updated by the Information Regulator.

8. Grounds for refusal

B&W Movers may refuse access to records in accordance with Chapter 4 of PAIA, including:

  • Mandatory protection of privacy of a third party (S.63)
  • Mandatory protection of commercial information of a third party (S.64)
  • Mandatory protection of certain confidential information (S.65)
  • Mandatory protection of safety of individuals and property (S.66)
  • Mandatory protection of records privileged from production in legal proceedings (S.67)
  • Protection of commercial information of the private body (S.68)
  • Protection of research information of a third party and the private body (S.69)

9. Remedies if access is refused

A requester may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to a competent court within 180 days of the decision.

10. Notice under Section 52(2) of PAIA

B&W Movers has not been notified in terms of Section 52(2) of PAIA about categories of records that must be published in the Gazette.

11. Availability of this Manual

This Manual is available on the B&W Movers website at bwmovers.co.za/paia-manual/, at the registered address during business hours (Monday–Friday, 07:00–17:00), and on request from the Information Officer.
